My Hot Honey Drizzle Recipe: Perfect For Warming The Last Of The Summer Salad


This isn’t so much about the salad but the drizzle that goes over it-Hot Honey 🍯

This simple condiment will take over your life, you’ll want to put it on everything, it’s fantastic on crispy chicken, drizzled over pizza, over the perfectly ripen cheese and so good added to a stir fry for that extra sweet spicy kick.


It does make a good amount and it keeps well so go out and choose you favourite honey and get in it!!!

My Hot Honey Drizzle


Makes 1 Cup


Ingredients


  • 1C Clear honey

  • 2Tbsp Apple Cider vinegar

  • 1/4tsp chilli flakes

  • Salt to taste



Method


Super simple, heat honey in a small pot to boiling. Turn down to a simmer and cook for 1min- don’t cook any more than this or it will harden.


Turn off heat and add in vinegar and chilli, stand for 10mins then either stain off the chilli if you don’t want it too fierce or leave in for the extra kick. Pour into a jar, seal with a lid and store in a cool place.


Recipe for Peach Salad with hot honey drizzle

Serves 4-6 people as a side


Ingredients


  • 6-8 peaches

  • 1/2C baby mozzarella balls

  • Mint leaves and nasturtium flowers/leaves

  • 1/2C toasted almonds

  • 2Tbsp hot honey


Method


Slice peaches up and arrange in a serving platter, rip mozzarella in half and place in and around the peaches. Drizzle with the hot honey and scatter over the almonds and leaves.

Serve at room temperature with the last of the summer sun.
